Dr. Jacob Rittgers, D.C.
Dr. Jake was born and raised just outside of Rolfe, Iowa. Growing up, he was very active in athletics and fell victim to many injuries. It was chiropractic that kept him from spending more time on the sidelines. After his 8th grade football season, he knew he wanted to be a chiropractor.
His education started at the University of Northern Iowa, where he received a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He then received his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
Dr. Jake married Victoria in 2015. She is now a dentist at Pocahontas Dental Associates in Pocahontas. Dr. Jake and Victoria stay busy with their two sons.
Dr. Jake is continuing his passion for farming and chiropractic. He lives on an acreage just half a mile from the family farm. He refuses to let his dream of both farming and being a chiropractor fade.
Dr. Tanner Schrad, D.C.
Tanner is the son of Alan and Janet Schrad and Brother to Cody Sigmon. Tanner grew up on a farm North of Auburn, Iowa helping his father with planting and harvest. Tanner graduated from SCC in Lake City in 2015, and then went on to The University of Northern Iowa to receive a Major in Biology. After graduating from UNI, Palmer in Davenport, Iowa was the next step to becoming a D.C.
Tanner is incredibly happy to be back in the area to support the areas he grew up in and to watch his Niece and Nephew grow up enjoying similar activities and sports he did as a kid. Tanner’s other main passion, along with helping others, is running. He’s been running since 6th grade and continues to do so, even including running across the state of Iowa for Relay Iowa 8 times!
Cara Shimon
Cara (Jamison) Shimon, a Laurens native, has lived in Pocahontas county most of her life. After attending DMACC and working in Des Moines, she wanted to be back in the area in which she was raised, close to family & with little traffic. Cara has a passion for serving others and enjoys meeting new patients and helping existing ones. She and her husband, Nelson, live in Pocahontas with their son, Jamison and daughter, Carmen. Cara enjoys cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes and spending time with her family in her free time.
Bobbi DeVaul
Bobbi DeVaul has lived in Pocahontas for several years. She has three children – Christopher, Micah, and Ava. They keep life full of surprises! Bobbi keeps very busy between her work, her family, and community projects. One of the things she enjoys most about working in the chiropractic setting is helping patients and interacting with people in her community. In her downtime, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and anything that will make her laugh.
Lacey Olson
Lacey Olson is the daughter of Todd and Diane Olson. She is a graduate of the Class of 2023 at Pocahontas Area. She has a love for sports, especially volleyball and trap shooting. Lacey is passionate about helping others and plans to stay in the area. She is looking forward to becoming a Chiropractic Assistant.
